A garden built by our family
From Authentic Khmer Village Resort to Vanna Lodge.
This place was built by our family, bungalow by bungalow, around a lake and a big garden on Thmor Meas Road, in Siem Reap. For years it was called Authentic Khmer Village Resort, and many guests still know it by that name.
In July 2026, having chosen to carry on the family torch, we gave the lodge a new name and wanted to make it a place for every traveller. The garden, the big pool and the calm stay as they are. The rest we improve step by step: the rooms, the restaurant, and the way we help you discover the country around us.
For a real immersion, you have to feel at home. That is what we wish for every guest who walks through our gate.
Why Vanna
Vanna (វណ្ណ) is a Khmer word that comes from the Sanskrit varna. It means colour, and the golden glow of things.
We chose it for the colours of the garden, and for the light on the water at the end of the day, when the lodge turns gold.
The green peacock
Green peafowl, the royal bird of Cambodia's forests, used to walk into this garden. We chose it as our emblem for that reason: it was here before us, and it is the colour of the garden. Today these birds are rare and endangered.
The Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity, at the foot of Phnom Kulen, cares for them and for other rare animals of Cambodia. We can take you there.
Meet Tuco
You will probably meet Tuco, our big German shepherd, resting by the pool. Here, animals are part of the family.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome too: just tell us when you book, so we can give you the right room.
A gateway to Cambodia
We want the lodge to be more than a place to sleep near the temples. Rest here, then go out with people who know the country: to Angkor at dawn, to the villages on the lake, to a market with a local guide, to a circus show by young Cambodian artists.

The price you see is the price you pay. Tours are priced per vehicle, and the pool pass is deducted from your drinks.
